Paul Howard Construction Co. has been awarded the Lake Upchurch Dam Restoration project for Cumberland County outside Fayetteville, N.C. The project consists of filling in a earthen breach in the dam wall and building a new concrete spillway to handle the lake's overflow capacity. The new spillway is designed by Schnabel Engineering and incorporates a innovative hydrology system. The $1,787,550. project is scheduled to start in mid-April. The project manager is Tom Yates and the project will be built by Pete Chambers.
