On  November 16, 2010  Paul Howard Construction was low bidder to remove and replace a wooden fender system on the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway Bridge #14 from Southport to Oak Island.

David Brinkley of Howard Atlantic will be doing the work when it is awarded. The value is approximately $1.5 million and NCDOT is the Owner.
