PHCC Completes Dredging Off Long Island, New York at Moriches Bay.

PHCC has completed both phases of it’s $1.45 million dollar contract to dredge Moriches Bay, NY for the New York Army Corp of Engineers. Moriches Bay had severe shoaling and shallow depth sections in the channel that prohibited safe boating lanes.  Over 70,000 cy of dredged sand was pumped over 10,000 LF to  renourish the  beaches  at Cupsogue Island. The beach renourishment looked like natural dune sand almost immediately. Joe Edgar was Project Superintendent and Tom Yates was Project Manager.
