On Jan. 24, 2006 PHCC began work on a key piece of Downtown Raleigh's Revitalization; Streetscape Work on Hillsborough Street. The project involves new granite curbs, gutters, drive aprons, brick paver sidewalks, handicap ramps, and repaving. It runs on both sides of Hillsborough Street from St. Mary's to Boylan to Glenwood Ave. The project costs approximately $400,000. and is managed by Tom Johnston and supervised by Luby Bell; a ardant N.C. State alumnus. A aggressive schedule has the project completing the first part of May 2006.
